While no countywide trail system currently exists, there are a number of walking and hiking trails at parks throughout Eaton County.

Fitzgerald Park

A 78-acre park, located on West Jefferson St., just off M-43 in Grand Ledge, Fitzgerald Park is best known as the home of the Ledges - ancient sedimentary rock outcroppings lining the shores of the Grand River. Total trail mileage: Approximately 3.25 miles.

Fox Park

This 160-acre memorial park near the city of Potterville contains a small lake with a beach for swimming, two picnic pavilions, and nature and cross-country ski trails. Total trail mileage: Approximately 1.6 miles.

Keehne Environmental Area

Keehne Environmental Area is a 30-acre nature area on the site of a former quarry in the town of Bellevue. Total trail mileage: Approximately 1 mile.

Lincoln Brick Park

This 90-acre park is composed of a variety of habitats from woodlands and open meadows to over 6,000 feet of scenic Grand River frontage near the city of Grand Ledge. Total trail mileage: Approximately 2.25 miles.

Sharp Park

In addition to the outdoor amphitheater, and fishing pond, visitors to Delta Township’s Sharp Park will find a wooded trail that connects to Canal Rd. Approximately 3 miles.

Woldumar Nature Center

Woldumar Nature Center offers numerous outreach and on-site Environmental Education programs for children as well as adults. Over 5 miles of trails await you on over 180 acres of woodland, prairie, river-side and pine forest. Hike or ski anytime between dawn and dusk.
